- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce (plus extra for topping)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Roll out the pie crust into a 9-inch pie dish and crimp the edges. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter.
- Remove from heat and whisk in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth and glossy.
- Stir in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until just combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pie crust and smooth the top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the center is just set and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow the pie to cool slightly, then drizzle with salted caramel sauce and sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
- Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally with ice cream.
